The best cinema in the city of Split. Do not expect any service but BIG plus is there are no commercials or advertising. The movies start at scheduled times. You can buy the pop-corn that is made in the old style trolley. To reach the movie theater you have to take a walk through beautiful old part of the city as the cinema is located in Diocletian's Palace, Roman Emperor's old home.

Excellent place to enjoy a movie. Friendly staff. We went to the theater 3 out of four nights and there were less then a dozen people each night. I would highly recommend going to see a movie here. Update: Feb 07, 2023 Tuesday tickets are discounted (€4) and popcorn is available, tasty, and not overly oily. It was nice to see a crowd (under 25) people show up. The theater was also spotless as per usual. Great way to spend a few hours.

It's one of the oldest cinemas in town. It doesn't offer much - one projection room with below average sound (for today's standard), a few of the most popular movies in selection, a popcorn stand. The projection room floor is tilted backwards because all the seats are on the same level. There is a balcony (like in theaters) where you can enjoy a more private atmosphere while watching the movie. It's main benefit is that it's cheap, and you can bring in any food and drink you like from outside. The reason I'm giving it five stars is because to me, it's a priceless place, a monument to what my city used to be and what globalization had done to those who never stood a chance. I prefer it over any of those cinema giants because of the flavor it has. If you find yourself in Split with nothing to do for the evening, give this place a try - it might just surprise you.

For a movie theater locate in the city center it's quieter than you'd expect it to be. The reason, all the malls opening up. So if you want to watch a movie and escape the crowds this is a place for you

The first regularly used cinema in Split, founded in 1907. It's a cinema with a historical value. Though it has been renovated several times to this day, it has retained a respectable spirit of old-fashionedness. Its advantage is in the very heart of Old Town. It is immobile cultural good, has a legal status of protected cultural heritage, classified as a profound architectural heritage. Shows the latest contemporary movies.

Best movie theatre in city, one of oldest movie theatres in world, usually 2-3 different movies showing, especiall art cinematography mixing with american modern movies. If you want to be part of true cinema history, then visit this movie theatre. All movies are with subtitles on croatian. During year, movie festival of new video is situated there.

For retro feeling, like going back 40 years. The only concern: people eat and crunch and unbearable noises. Thank good the film -Poor things- was very good so I could switch off my attention from the constant noise but there were others with me who couldn’t

Really decent little cinema. Watched Avatar 2, the movie is in english with Croatian subtitles, this meant the "Navi" parts were in Croatian but still a good watch for us english speakers. Very cheap tickets in my opinion!
